Ans: Tricki, Mrs. Pumphrey's dog, was excessively fat. He had blood-red and rheumy eyes. His tongue lolled from his jaws. He had no energy. He was fed generously without making him
exercise. The main cause for his ailment was his greed owing to that he accepted every type of food at any time and in any quantity.

Now, I think same pampering will start again. Mrs. Pumphrey will take excessive care of the dog. There is no doubt it was her lone, but excess of anything is harmful.

Ans: Yes, there are parents who are too much possessive about their kids. Their sense of overindulgence can go either way. There are examples of parents spoiling their children by
protecting them in each and every way , thus creating hardships for them later in their life.Also there are examples of parents who are strict and want their child to be disciplined and
so unnecessarily put pressure on them to study hard and always follow a standard behavioral pattern.

Q6. Why was it a temptation to keep Tricki on as a permanent guest for Dr Herriot?
Ans: The narrator was tempted to keep Tricki as a permanent guest because Mrs Pumphrey had started bringing around two dozen eggs at a time to build Tricki's strength. Later, she
started sending bottles of wine to help enriching Tricki's blood.

Tricki followed them to the garden. He was running and rolling down in their company. Now he was accepted as a member of the gang.
